21 Days of Prayer

21 Days of Prayer-05.png
This short passage of scripture instructs us to always be joyful, prayerful and thankful, but how are we supposed to do that? The way that we do that, which is easier said than done, is to live in a position of constant reliance on the Holy Spirit, with a cycle of prayers praising God for what He has done and petitioning Him to help us with our needs.
This week we look at what is, perhaps, the most well known passage in all of scripture: the Lord's Prayer. Many of us have recited this hundreds, if not thousands of times, but how often do we sit down and look at what it actually means? Today we learn that it is not so much a specific prayer to be memorized, but a path to guide our own prayers.
For many of us prayer is hard and we have trouble believing that it actually does anything. Once we have a proper image of God, however, it becomes much easier. Prayer is a little child coming to his heavenly father repeatedly asking for help, knowing that his father loves him and wants what is best for him. Take a moment now and ask God to give you a right vision of Him as you listen to this sermon.
